Devotional thought

I absolutely love the song of the day today, and love to hear God’s children make the declaration of this song – that our hope is found in Christ alone! There is so much truth in this song, and I hope that you will spend time worshiping the Lord through it today!

The Word of God clearly says that it is Christ who strengthens us, and it is His Spirit that enables us to be over-comers in this world. Hope is a very powerful tool to all of us who have placed our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is what keeps us going when we face trials, it sustains us when we become burdened, and it refreshes us when we are dry! And the only place hope is found is in the Name above all Names, Jesus Christ.

So, I know it is tempting to try and find hope in earthly things, or earthly relationships, but let’s resist that temptation and seek to find our hope in Jesus today! The things the world offers is temporal at best, but the everlasting love of Christ and the power of His resurrection provides an eternal sense of hope that will never fade! His Name is everlasting, and an ever present help in all of our troubles, so that means that hope is everlasting and ever-present too.

We become purified and our character becomes more refined as we put our hope in God!

Prayer

My God, the God of hope, I praise You for being my source and my strength as I walk through this life by faith in You. I thank You for providing me everlasting hope in the Name of Jesus, and for empowering me to walk in hope through Your Holy Spirit! In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
