Let’s Praise the Lord of Endless Light! Worship Devotional

Song of the Day

“Endless Light” by Hillsong Worship

Devotional thought

Can you imagine a world without light? I cannot even begin to imagine that, and my heart breaks for people who are blind. I rely so much on my sight, and I look forward to seeing the beauty that light reveals.

Well, before we accept Him we are blind to the light of Christ. And just as I cannot imagine living in a world without light, I also cannot imagine living right now without the light of Christ in my life. It has revealed so much beauty and the majesty of God to me, and I am forever grateful!

I long for the day when everyone will see the Light of the World and submit themselves to Him. John records an unbelievably sad statement that says Jesus came into the world, but the world did not recognize Him. They chose to walk in the darkness instead of embracing Him as the Light that came from the Father full of grace and truth!

That is still happening today. People are still refusing to believe that Jesus Christ is the Light of the World, and they choose to stay blind and to live in darkness. The good news though is that for those who will believe, for those of us who have received Him as our personal Savior, that light becomes alive within us!

God be exalted (lifted high) indeed for that wonderful blessing. Just as the blind man rejoiced after receiving sight, so we all need to rejoice at the blessing of having the Light of Christ in our lives. The blessing of light cannot be overstated!

How about you? Is the light of Christ shining in and through you? How has it changed the way you live? I hope and pray that you are encountering that life-giving, transformational, endless light of Jesus Christ in your life!

Prayer

Lord of endless light, I praise You for sharing that light with me. I thank You for calling me out of darkness and into Your marvelous light. You are so good to me, and I choose to reject the darkness of this world and walk in the Kingdom of light. For Your glory God, amen!
