Session 115: Value in Planning

Bill McMinn and Adam Page talk about planning, setting goals, and budgeting time.  What is getting too much of our time and energies?  Perhaps we need to rethink things and start to plan on doing better.

Value of a Plan

Pastors Bill McMinn and Adam Page discuss the importance of a plan and staying disciplined enough to stick to the plans we make!

Standing in the Love of God and Trusting that He will Never Abandon Us

Unfortunately, we live in a culture of abandonment. Way too many people are experiencing hurt and mistrust from parents who abandoned and mistreated them. This explains why so many have a hard time relying upon the Lord to be there through the hard times with them. I don’t know what pain you have had to endure throughout your life from being rejected, abandoned, and/or mistreated by someone you looked to and trusted, but I want you to know that the God of the Bible – the One true God – WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR ABANDON YOU (see Heb 13:5, John 14:8, Deut 31:6,8, Isa 43:2,5(a))! He will never run when things get hard. He will never reject your calls for help! He is always faithful to those who look to Him for deliverance. Do not let your experience with fallen humanity define your experience with a perfect Father! He loves you. No, wait, listen…..GOD LOVES YOU CHILD! Stand firm in that love, please!

The Offensiveness of the Gospel

Bill McMinn and Mark Hostetler discuss how the Gospel is offensive to people because of the exclusivity of its message. This episode explains the Gospel and why it is so offensive, and why we need to stay focused on it as we minister to the world around us.

God bless you!

Is There Joy in the House of the Lord?

So, is there joy in the house of the Lord? That can only be answered by each person represented in our Churches each time we worship together. I believe it is the one who understands their depravity to its fullest and the nature of what they were delivered from that will be expressing their joy and gratitude with the fullest conviction! I believe its the one who is able to lift their head above the circumstances that seem to be clouding the reality of God at work in their lives, and choose to trust Him through the trials they face that will be most enthusiastic in their praises! I believe it’s the one who follows the advice in the Bible, in the book of James, where it says to count it all joy when faced with various trials because we know that there is a deeper work happening through them that will not wait until Sunday to offer up a half-hearted utterance (maybe even a mumble with arms crossed) but will at all times have a hearty praise spewing from their lips!
