Prayer Tips from Solomon

Welcome to the latest episode of the Way to Go Podcast, where we explore the timeless wisdom of prayer through the lens of King Solomon. In this episode, titled “Prayer Tips from Solomon,” we uncover valuable insights from Ecclesiastes 5:1-5, offering practical guidance to enrich our prayer lives.

PRAYER TIP 1 – Come to Listen:
In a world filled with noise and distraction, do we truly listen when we pray? We’re encouraged to quiet our hearts and minds, allowing God the space to speak to us, just as He did with Elijah in the still small voice.

PRAYER TIP 2 – Have Some Respect:
Recognizing God’s sovereignty and majesty, we approach prayer with reverence and gratitude, understanding the enormity of His power and authority.

PRAYER TIP 3 – Let Your Words Be Few:
Avoiding mindless repetition and empty promises, we’re reminded to pray with sincerity and thoughtfulness, trusting that God already knows our needs.

PRAYER TIP 4 – Keep Your Vows:
Integrity is key in our relationship with God. We’re challenged to honor our commitments and promises to Him, aligning our actions with our words.

Join us as we delve into the richness of Solomon’s wisdom, discovering practical ways to deepen our connection with God through prayer.

Your Thoughts – Part 2

Welcome back to the Way to Go Podcast for part 2 of our exploration into the intricate realm of thought. In this episode, we delve deeper into the darker corners of the mind, addressing deadly, anxious, and negative thoughts head-on.

We confront the allure of deadly thoughts, those whispers that life isn’t worth living or that happiness is contingent upon unattainable desires. Drawing from John 10:10, we offer counsel, urging listeners to examine their expectations and align them with the reality of life’s complexities.

Navigating the labyrinth of anxious thoughts, we challenge the “what if” scenarios that haunt our minds, finding solace in Philippians 4:5-7 and the call to gentleness amidst uncertainty.

Venturing into the territory of negative thoughts, we confront the storms within, born from bitterness, unforgiveness, and skewed perceptions of the world. Through introspection and the wisdom of Philippians 4:8, we encourage listeners to guard their minds against toxic influences and cultivate a mindset rooted in truth and purity.

Join us on this journey of self-discovery and transformation as we navigate the terrain of thought, striving to illuminate the path toward peace, clarity, and spiritual growth.

Your Thoughts – Part 1

Welcome to the Way to Go Podcast, where we journey through life’s twists and turns with a biblical compass. In this episode, we’re diving deep into the realm of thought, exploring the nuances of pride and its manifestations in our lives.

Drawing from Isaiah 14:12-14 and Daniel 4:30, we uncover the roots of prideful thoughts, from the belief that we deserve a better spot to doing things solely for our own glory. We contrast the humble act of giving credit with the prideful act of taking it, reflecting on whether we want to be individuals who uplift others or solely seek validation for ourselves.

Delving further, we shine a light on the characteristics of narcissism, offering top ways to identify this mindset. From making everything about oneself to dismissing rules and personalizing concerns as criticisms, we dissect the traits that can poison relationships and hinder personal growth.

But fear not, for we provide answers rooted in biblical wisdom. By examining passages like Philippians 2:3-4 and Romans 12:3, we’re encouraged to turn the mirror inward, taking responsibility for our actions and attitudes.

Join us as we navigate the complex landscape of thought, striving to cultivate humility and empathy in a world often consumed by self-interest.
