Lunch Devo: Ps 145:18-19

Yesterday we discussed that God is near to all from Acts 17:27, and in today’s verses we see that reminder again! Actually, it is one of the most recited reminders all throughout the Bible – God is with us, He is near to us, He is available when we call out to Him! What a comforting thought!

“He hears their cry for help and delivers them.” Just take a minute and reflect upon the reality that when you cry out to God in your times of need, HE HEARS YOU! Who am I that the Lord God would bother with me, would actually care about my needs, would actually want to fulfill the desires of my heart? At times it is just too much for me to comprehend, but I do appreciate it with all of my heart. I also do not allow the incomprehensible nature of this truth to stop me from acting upon it daily! I seek the Lord and cry out to Him often for His help as I live my life!

  • Do you cry out to the Lord and communicate the cares and desires of your heart to Him?
  • Does it still excite you that God actually desires to satisfy your desires? Are you still in awe of this truth?
  • Will you worship Him right now for hearing your prayers and satisfying your deepest longings?

God bless the rest of your day!
