Confession is Good for the Heart! Worship Devotional

Song of the Day “Lord I Need You” by Matt Maher Devotional thought The Bible encourages us to confess our sins to the Lord. It also reassures us that if we do that, He forgives our sin and cleanses us of all unrighteousness! Some of us are calling out to the Lord, confessing our need … Read more

Give Me Faith to Believe! Worship Devotional

– When was the last time you asked God to soften your heart and to increase your faith?

– Have you surrendered yourself to God in faith, believing Him for the results of your current situation?

– Are you praying to God often, and if not do you think this is an indication of the amount of faith you have in God?

Trusting the Way Maker to be Our Fortress

This week I am inspired to trust more fully in the Lord my God, and I hope to communicate that with you and to encourage you to place all of your faith and trust into Jesus Christ our Savior no matter what you may be facing in your life! He is so faithful, and wants to be that safe place for you to come and find solace!

Living Our Lives Whole-Heartedly Surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ

So, I am not sure if there is an area of your life right now that you have not surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus, but I would like to invite you, even exhort you, to allow Jesus full and complete access and control of that area right now. Commit to the process of trusting Him with that area of your life, by faith, and looking to Him to rescue you from the unnecessary stress and frustration you will have to endure when you take it into your own hands.

Are You Real with God and Yourself when You Pray?

I can remember reading Psalm 42 & 43, along with a Sermon Series from the Pastor of my previous church, and being gripped by the honesty of David as he cried out to the Lord in desperation. He starts with saying that he is thirsty for the living God to show up (Ps. 42:1)! When was the last time you told God that you need Him to show up for you just like a deer needs the waters to be there when it goes to a stream for something to drink. Without His presence, we will not be able to continue on just the same as an animal deprived of water will not be able to survive. Is God’s presence that important to you? What are you willing to do to sense His presence and continually press into that presence? I am reminded of Moses telling God that unless He go with them, the Israelites will not go (see Exodus 33:13-17), and I hope that we will all be this honest about our need for God’s presence to be with us as we live out our lives by faith!
