Remember how Christ has manifested himself to you throughout your life and allow those experiences to inspire a heart of gratitude toward God. He loves you and when you gave your life to Him He changed you forever! You are His and He is yours, and I believe that is reason enough to be grateful all the days of our lives. Don’t you?

Who is it that is doing the holding on? Is it us, or is it the Great “I Am” we discover in the Bible? There is no place God’s love can’t reach!

There are many things that are battling for our attention, devotion, allegiance, and worship! The best way to combat these opposing forces that set themselves up as counterfeit “gods” is to remain faithful to worshiping the true God and Savior of our lives.
We need to learn how to communicate our true feelings to God, all while remaining “determined” to offer up the sacrifice of praise from our lips no matter the circumstance.
I hope and pray this devotional will help us learn how to do that very thing!
When we sing, we are able to release our worship to God in a collective way with others in the Church, speak words of truth and encouragement, pray (a lot of our songs are actually prayers), and many times enhance our theological understanding of God! Why not sing then?

Our song of the day comes directly from our verse to reflect upon, Psalm 84:10. The Psalmist declares that to be in the house, literally at the Threshold, of God is better than to be dwelling in the tents of the wicked!

To bless the name of the Lord is to offer Him praise, to adore Him, to keep Him in the proper place of honor in our lives at all times!
That is what we see Job doing in Job 1:21 when he declares that even though the Lord gives and takes away, His name is to blessed no matter what.
As we sing in today’s song, “This is My body, broken for you. This is the cup that holds the blood of the New Covenant. This is forgiveness simple and true. This is the way that I have made for you.” May we always observe this wonderful treasure left behind by our Savior – Communion!
